Angiokeratomas

Angiokeratomas can appear alone or in groups as deep-red or purple papules (small, solid, raised bumps on the skin).
They usually appear over the scrotum or vulva, but can also appear on the penis. -

Angiokeratomas tend to advance with age. Treatment is usually not needed unless they bleed frequently or cause other problems.
It is important to remember that even when a skin condition is not contagious, STI and blood-borne virus (BBV) transmission can still happen if the skin barrier is damaged, for example, if there is thin or broken skin, cuts, wounds or recent bleeding.
